When will the work be started and completed?

Work will begin in May of 2010 and the project is scheduled to be finished in 2 years.
 

What is the construction budget for this project?

The budget for this project is $55.4 million.
 

Who is paying for this project?

This project is being funded by PPRTA.  The funds were raised from a voter approved tax 
increase in 2004.     


Will work be done during the Holidays?

Ames Construction recognizes all major holidays and will not be working on the Proby
Parkway Project during these designated times. 

 

Why is this work neccessary?

  • This project will improve the east-west mobility in the southeast corridor of Colorado  Springs, ultimately improving access to and from the Colorado Springs Airport
  • This project will relieve commuter congestion on access streets, specifically Drennan Road
  • The Proby Parkway Project will create green space and trail access to neighborhood
  • Improves safety for the surrounding traveling public
  • Improves drainage
  • Suppress noise pollution due to the depressed roadway between Hancock Drive and Academy
