Traffic Advisory:  Beginning at 7a.m. on July 26th the turn lane from eastbound Drennan Road merging onto southbound Academy will be closed .Click here to view the complete Advisory.

Press Release, August 18, 2010:  Night work will be taking place on the Milton E. Proby Parkway project on Sunday, August 22, and Monday, August 23, near the intersection of Academy Boulevard and Drennan Road from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.  The work will require the closure of one lane in each direction on Academy Boulevard, 1500 feet south of the Academy/Drennan intersection.  This work is being done to accommodate utility relocations.

Press Release, May 26, 2010: Milton E. Proby traffic Advisory-Upcoming Closure and Detour: Effective Monday, June 7, 2010, the existing Milton E. Proby Parkway from Powers Boulevard to Hancock Expressway will be closed to through traffic.  Motorists needing access to and from the are should use the following detours, which will be marked.   

Press Release, May 28, 2010: No active construction will be underway during the Memorial Day weekend.  Existing areas of narrowed lanes and reduced speeds will remain in place.  Drivers are encouraged to use extra caution through these areas.

Press Release July 1, 2010 : To lessen the impact to the traveling public, construction on Milton E. Proby Parkway will not take place over the July 4th holiday weekend. Work will take place on Friday, July 2, but will be halted on July 3-5, resuming on July 6th.

 

Press Release July 22, 2010:  Starting Monday, July 26 2010 please be advised of the following traffic impacts that will affect traffic in the vicinity of the Milton E. Proby Parkway construction Project.   

 Press Release July 26,2010: Beginning at 7a.m. on July 26, 2010 and continuing through the duration of the project the turn lane from eastbound Drennan Road merging onto southbound Academy Boulevard will be closed.  Traffic will need to approach the light and wait for the signal to make a right hand turn.  For the safty of the traveling public, a right turn on red will not be allowed at the Drennan and Academy intersection.  Motorists are advised to watch for reduced speeds and signage in the area.
